Lakeview is governed by a Board of five. Directors must either be individually a member of Lakeview; a director, officer or appointed representative of a corporate member of Lakeview; or the managing partner or appointed representative of a partnership that is a member of Lakeview. Directors are elected by the members at the annual meeting and hold office for three years, unless automatically reappointed to a succeeding three year term if he or she is running unopposed. Directors elect from their rank a President, Vice‑President, Secretary and Treasurer for one year terms. The Board meets at least once a month. The Board hires the General Manager, fixes salaries, sets rates and charges, controls the property and business of the corporation, and provides for the proper disposition of surplus funds, if any. The Board may delegate any of its management and operation authority. Any sale or disposition of all or substantially all of the property of Lakeview would require a vote of at least 90% of the members attending a meeting set for such purpose with at least 51% of the total members of Lakeview in attendance at such meeting.
