The current electric rates, established by the Board of Directors will be effective with bills going out June 1, 2004 and thereafter:
RESIDENTIAL
5.4 cents per KWH plus a $5.50 monthly service charge.
COMMERCIAL
5.9 cents per KWH plus a $5.50 monthly service charge.
The total amount of all billings shall be assessed a charge of five percent (5%). This charge is a utility tax, imposed on Lakeview Light & Power by the City of Lakewood. The utility tax only applies to customers within the city of Lakewood.
Current balance is due upon receipt and becomes delinquent 30 days from the bill date.
Delinquent accounts shall be assessed a late charge of $6.00 and electric service may be discontinued without further notice.
Checks returned by the bank for non-sufficient funds shall be assessed a service charge of $20.00. The amount of each check returned from the bank for non-sufficient funds shall be added to the account balance.
Regular business hours are 8:00 A.M. to 5:00 P.M. Monday through Friday. Saturday, Sunday and all recognized holidays are not considered regular business days.
When service is discontinued to a self-contained meter for non-payment, a $15.00 reconnection charge in addition to all previous billings shall be collected, if reconnected during regular service hours. If reconnection is made after regular service hours, a $100.00 charge in addition to all previous billings shall be collected.
When service is discontinued to C.T. metering for non-payment, a $70.00 reconnection charge in addition to all previous billings shall be collected, if connected during regular service hours. If reconnection is made after regular service hours a $115.00 reconnection charge in addition to all previous billings shall be collected.
When access to the metering is denied for any reason and service is disconnected at the source of supply, a $70.00 reconnection charge in addition to all previous billings shall be collected, if connected during regular service hours. If reconnection is made after regular service hours, a $115.00 reconnection charge in addition to all previous billings shall be collected.
If Cut-off man goes to the premises and payment is made before the actual termination of service, a service charge equal to the reconnection charge shall be made.
It shall be the Corporation’s responsibility to maintain service to the weatherhead or URD meter base. It shall be the customer’s responsibility for equipment beyond the weatherhead or URD meter base, excluding meter. If an “After Service Hours” call, (Refer to paragraph on regular business hours) is determined to be a customer problem, there will be a $150.00 service charge. If an electrical contractor cannot respond in a timely manner, the corporation may choose to make the repair, and bill the actual cost to the customer.
When a request is made for a special reading, a $5.00 plus consumption and a prorated portion of the basic charge will be billed.
A $20.00 setup fee will be charged for all new accounts.
Payment for service on account of all individually metered multi-family dwelling units shall be the sole responsibility of the Member who owns the property. The Corporation reserves the right but shall have no duty to accept payments from third parties on account of any Member.
At the option of the Corporation or upon request of a Member, the Corporation will send billings or copies thereof to the resident of the property to which the Membership relates when such resident is someone other than the Member. However, the Member will remain liable for all unpaid charges for such service.
Should it become necessary for the Corporation to engage the services of an attorney in order to collect sums due it from any Member, the Member shall reimburse the Corporation for all attorney’s fees and/or costs incurred in that regard.
In case of bankruptcy, the corporation shall require a certified check of cash deposit from the customer equal to at least 2 (two) months of peak consumption within 20 (twenty) days of filing for bankruptcy.
