Lakeview Light & Power is offering a program through which qualifying children of Lakeview Light & Power members or customers who are graduating high school seniors are eligible for continuing educational funds. The scholarship program will be available to eligible students who will graduate in the spring of 2012.

The purpose of the scholarship program is to provide financial support to Lakeview Light & Power members or customers by assisting with educational opportunities. This financial assistance will be offered in the form of three, two thousand dollar scholarships, designed to enhance the education and resulting career opportunities for deserving students.

Students are required to submit a completed application, a copy of their high school transcript to include grades from the 1st semester of the senior year and an essay, maximum of two typed pages, addressing a particular subject designated by the scholarship committee. This committee will make the final selection of candidates to receive scholarships.

Beginning Wednesday, November 30, 2011, applications and information packets will be available at the office of Lakeview Light & Power, 11509 Bridgeport Way S.W., Lakewood, Wa. 98499, during regular business hours. The deadline for submission of required documents is Friday, January 27, 2012, 5PM.
